New WhatsApp messaging security feature send media messages that can be viewed only once

As instant messaging technology continues to evolve, WhatsApp has introduced an exciting new feature: sending media messages that can only be viewed once. This feature is designed to increase user control over privacy, allowing users to send photos, videos or voice messages that can only be viewed once by the recipient.

WhatsApp

How do I use this feature?

When sending a photo, video or voice message, the user simply selects the "view once only" option. Once the message is sent, the sender will not be able to view the content again. This one-time feature ensures the security and privacy of the message.

Other notes:

All photos or videos sent by the user are not saved to the recipient's device, ensuring that the message is not traceable.

The recipient cannot take screenshots of what the sender sends using this feature, further protecting the privacy of the message.

WhatsApp also provides a reporting mechanism for messages to ensure that users are able to report abusive or inappropriate content in a timely manner.

Handling on the receiving end:

Upon receiving a media message that can only be viewed once, the recipient needs to open it within 14 days of the message being sent or the message will expire in the conversation. Once opened, recipients are also unable to forward, save, label, or share this content.

Backup and Restore:

These once-only viewable media messages can be restored from a backup, provided the message was not opened at the time of the backup. If the message has been opened, it will not be included in the backup and cannot be restored.

WhatsApp will continue to work hard to protect users' privacy and provide a better communication experience.
